17 Mar Exotic Cuisine at Faena’s Pao Restaurant
By Ross Milroy | March 17, 2017
Included in the prestigious list of those who proved victorious on Bravo’s Top Chef competition show, Paul Qui quickly rose to culinary stardom. Moving on to earn the coveted James Beard Award for ‘Best Chef in the Southwest,’ Pao celebrates modern pan Asian cuisine and draws from rustic and comfort food of the Philipinne’s spruced up with Japanese and French techniques.
Pao’s menu is eclectic and offers gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan options. Its colorful menu compliments the restaurants sleek and gold interior that is set up for communal style dining. The warm and dramatic space is dominated by a gigantic god-like horse in the middle of the room and a magical dome shaped ceiling.
Menu highlights include the Octopus Aguachile Crudo, Pork Adobo Rice that comes topped with a fried duck egg and the Unicorn – a specialty dish that includes grilled sweet corn pudding in the center of a sea urchin. If you go to Pao, we suggest topping off your night of exotic cuisine with a delicate and gooey cashew tart.
